Fitness is unselfishness.

One of the most common reasons why people tend to struggle with maintaining a consistent workout routine is that it takes time to workout and it can often feel like selfish to choose themselves over other priorities. Maybe you have to wake up earlier, or skip a social event, or leave your family for an hour in order to get a workout in and that can feel like your putting those things below working out in the to-do list.

But being Fit is the most unselfish thing you can be. Want to have a better mood? Work out. Want to be able to do activities with your friends and family? Work out. Want to be able to protect and take care of your loved ones? Work out. Want to promote a heathy lifestyle? Work out. Want to be an example to those around you? Work out. Want to be around for a long time? Work out. Want to not be a burden to the ones you love? Work out.

The list goes on. The benefits you get from exercising radiate to those around you. We often think that what you get from working out has no effect on other people but that’s far from the truth. Just like in an airplane when they tell you “put your mask on first before putting it on somebody else”, you can’t be of service and support to other people if they are the ones taking care of you first.

Fitness is the most rewarding trait you have.
