What is Purposeful Fitness?
The Fitness Industry today is completely lost. We don’t know what we want, how we want to do it, who to trust, or even what to do. There are so many voices and opinions out there that it can be difficult for people to even take the first step. This is where you would see the importance of having a Coach. Somebody who can filter through the noise, guide you through the your workouts, educate you on health and fitness topics and be there next to you for support. The one who would help you make the complicated, easy.
But that’s not what we got. Instead we got ego-centric meatheads who think they know what’s best for everybody and try to shove their biases onto every client. Coaches today spend more time arguing with other coaches than actively listening to their clients and end up missing the point of working out in the first place. Every client that comes to us wants one thing: to improve their quality of life. For some that means being stronger, for some it means losing body fat, for some it means having a better mental health, for some it means being able to move pain-free, and for some it means helping them achieve professional/personal/financial goals.
And that’s where Purposeful Fitness comes in. I stopped glamorizing what happens INSIDE the gym and focused on people’s true goals and desires. I encourage clients to search for their life’s meaning and use Fitness as a tool to help them reach it. I connect to them on a deeper level so we can, together, take the steps necessary to make significant changes in their lifestyle. I go over more than just what movements you need to be doing, but also what foods (and how much) you need, what habits can help if modified, how to work on a positive and growth-focused mindset and much more.
Purposeful Fitness was born out of the disconnect and unhealthy relationship people started building with exercise. It’s time we remember WHY we move and how that can have a positive impact on almost everything in life. And never forget that we are here with a PURPOSE. Let’s get to it!
